1. What License Governs the eCruiser® Open Source Software?
The The GNU Lesser General Public License Version 3.0 (LGPL).

2. Why LGPL?
We selected LGPL because it offers the best balance of freedom to those individuals that want to use or incorporate the software in binary form while still requiring reciprocity to those that want to modify the source code.

3. What about third party software used in the project?
The project may have dependencies on certain third party software. In these cases, license details are provided in the file named third-party-license.txt in the download bundle.

4. Who owns the copyrights for the software?
Simplica® Corporation owns the copyrights to the software and it is provided to downloaders under the terms of the LGPL.
